How to troubleshoot domain and hosting
problems? If you have a domain issue the first place to go is to
the DNS/Whois lookup page located here. From this
you can determine if the domain status has changed, if the domain
has expired or if the delegation has changed. If there is a problem
with the status or delegation of the domain name please contact
your domain registrar, the whois record will show this information.
From the dns records you need to see if there are valid A records
for the web or MX records for the mail. If these
records are missing you need to contact your web hosting provider
or dns provider.
Email Problems - if you are having problems
trying to download email via an email client, the first thing you
should do is access the account via telnet. Instructions on accessing
telnet can be found here. If you are unable to connect then you
need to contact your email provider to check your password or if
their is a problem with their service.
